Classes

3 class meetings during the scheduled time for your class (Week 2, Week 7 & Week 12) 

 

Consultations

2 half hour consulations arranged with your tutor which may be outside the scheduled time for your class.  Your tutor will arrange the consultation times

 with you in Week 2.  The consultation times have been posted.

 

For your first consultation, please prepare your short essay, "What sort of learner are you?", your needs analysis, and the SAC discovery tour answers.

 

Course Work

- do a pre-course quiz

- write a short essay about your learning style

- do some activities to find out about your learning style and learning needs

- do 18 hours of independent learning

- write an evaluation on your activities, at least ten of them

- compile a portfolio with evidence of your learning

  • PLA Roadshow Presentation (5 minutes)
  • Sign up for consultations (5 minutes)
  • Examine a sample independent learning portfolio.
  • Break (10 minutes)
  • Review questions to learning essay. (30 minutes)

    • Group Evaluations into good, fair, and poor; and discuss recommendations for improvement
